Electrohomeopathy, developed by Count Cesare Mattei (1809–1896), is an alternative system live classes will be conducted by study observer of medicine rooted in the belief that plant-based remedies can restore the body’s natural “electrical energy balance” to treat various ailments. Mattei, a nobleman from Bologna, Italy, studied natural sciences, anatomy, physiology, pathology, chemistry, and botany, ultimately focusing on the therapeutic potential of "electricity" in botanical extracts. He claimed his treatments could serve as a nonsurgical alternative for conditions like cancer, though these claims were met with skepticism by the medical establishment.
After Mattei’s passing, his work was advanced by Theodore Krauss (1864–1924), who expanded the range of treatments, introduced injectable forms, and modernized production processes. Despite challenges from the British medical community, electrohomeopathy gained followers in Germany, France, the US, and the UK by the early 20th century, with approximately 100 publications and three dedicated journals. By 1892, its popularity led some conventional practitioners to adopt it, though a medical committee led by Morell Mackenzie deemed it ineffective after a year-long study, labeling it as "unredeemed quackery."
Courses in Electro Homeopathy are offered by alternative medicine institutes, providing comprehensive training in this unique healing system. Live classes will be conducted by study observer. Below is an overview of the course structure:
Electro Homeopathy is not officially recognized by the Ministry of AYUSH or the Medical Council of India (MCI/NMC). It is classified as an alternative or traditional healing practice. While some state governments permit its practice under specific conditions, it does not carry the same legal status as MBBS, BAMS, or BHMS degrees.
